Founded in 1997 by Caroline Pobitzer and Jan Erbach, united by their passion for the great wines of Montalcino. Pian dell’Orino is located in the namesake area just a stone’s throw away from Tenuta il Greppo, the estate totals 11.5ha, 5.8ha of vineyards, 1.5ha of olive trees and 3.5ha of woods. They specialize solely in Sangiovese grapes cultivated in 7 different subplots with 22 different clones planted in painstaking research of perfection. Total production is around 17,000 bottles per annum making these wines highly sought-after and strictly limited.
