Bruno Giacosa, Piedmont, Italy
14.00%, Drinking 2018-2020Bruno Giacosa, Piedmont, Italy
14.00%, Drinking 2018-2020The 2017 Bruno Giacosa Roero Arneis is a good example of what this venerable house achieves with this lovely white grape. I have long thought that the Arneis was by far Giacosa’s most underrated wine. The warm 2017 vintage has given us a slightly less vibrant and penetrating Arneis from Giacosa than usual, but it’s very flavorful and deep. The apple and pear flavors are a perfect start to the meal.

This is very beautiful. Lime-skin, light-pear and lemon aromas and mineral undertones. Full-bodied, dense and very intense with layers of fruit and flavor. Extremely long finish. Fantastic density and richness, yet always crisp and lively. Drink now.
94 points, James Suckling
Dark, straw-yellow colour. Intense, fine and elegantly fruity bouquet reminiscent of peach, apricot, citrus, fruit and acacia flowers. Fresh, impeccably balanced and very drinkable, with a long, delicate aftertaste.

Known as the “Genius of Neive”, Bruno Giacosa’s mastery of Nebbiolo was widely recognised amongst wine lovers. His single-vineyards Barolo and Barbaresco set new standards for the whole regions, allowing a unique blend of traditional and cutting-edge methods. His research of perfection was passed on to his daughter Bruna, who has been at the helm of the estate since 2006, blessing us with some of the most electrifying wines in our portfolio. From the floral Barbera to the tensest Nebbiolos, Bruno Giacosa’s wines are an incredible delight to discover.
