Drinking 2020-2027The smallest of the Domaine’s Premiers Crus with the oldest vines, this wine has an extra layer of complexity though the bouquet is somewhat restrained at first with subtle notes of white stone fruits and spices. The power and depth come through on the palate where succulent citrus flavours are balanced by a vigorous mineral freshness. Drink from 2020.

The vision of Anne-Claude Leflaive in the 1990s took this Puligny Montrachet Domaine to the heights of white wine production, not only in Burgundy but in the rest of the world. Today, her nephew Brice de La Morandière - who has had a successful career running multinational companies - continues her philosophy of organic, biodynamic viticulture, bringing Chardonnay grapes to their best possible expression in Grand Cru and Premier Cru climates, where the terroir has been restored to health by natural practices.
