In 1995 Jean-Marie Fourrier took over the winemaking from his father Jean-Claude, who had been making the wines since 1967, at first in partnership with his uncle, from whom many of the vines were inherited. Jean-Marie has a broader perspective than many of his fellow winemakers, as he spent time making Pinot Noir in Oregon, as well as training in France. Today, Domaine Fourrier is achieving critical acclaim but Jean-Marie is still young and ambitious to achieve even more.
