The Domaine Leflaive shareholders met a few days ago to choose, within the family, a successor to Anne-Claude at the helm of our estate. They have entrusted me to become the new Gérant of our Domaine and of its affiliated companies.
The Leflaive roots in wine making date back to 1717. Anne-Claude was the 3rd generation managing the Domaine after the founder, Joseph Leflaive. Under her leadership, the Domaine’s international reputation soared through the pioneering of biodynamic viticulture and through the making of wines of great finesse and elegance. She was also eager to spread her beliefs through the Ecole du Vin et des Terroirs.
Today the helm is transferred to the 4th generation that I represent. We will continue with the same family philosophy of respect for the great "terroirs", humility towards the forces of nature and rigorous in our relentless pursuit of excellence in wine making.
For my part, in parallel with a 27-year international career managing multinational companies, I have always kept my roots in Puligny-Montrachet and in our Domaine, participating in its major events, contributing to our board of directors and renovating a new family house in the village.
I am very excited about this new step in my life, enabling me to share my passion for wine with all our customers and enthusiasts of the great whites of Burgundy.
Kind regards,
Brice de La Morandière
